Chow Time: Unforgettable shrimp dip for snacks

By Guest Cooking Columnist Charles Fortson, Jr

With shrimp season fast approaching, it’s a good time to start thinking about how to use those sea creatures for meals and snacks.  At Uncle Ray’s, we’ve created tasty shrimp dip that makes crackers, chips and raw veggies snacks your will never forget.

Ingredients:

                                                                                                                                                                                                                    8 oz cream cheese

1 tbsp mayonnaise

4 tbsp ketchup

¼ cup  minced green onions

  ¼ cup minced bell peppers

¼ lb finely chopped cooked shrimp

Your favorite Cajun seasoning according to taste (we recommend Mama Cajun Seasoning)

Directions:

1.       Mix cream cheese & mayonnaise

2.       Add ketchup, onion & bell pepper

3.       Stir in shrimp

4.       Sprinkle on Cajun seasoning as desired

5.       Chill for one hour before serving

Uncle Ray says this scrumptious dip goes especially well with buttery flavor of Town House crackers.
