Tristian Peavey speaks to the LIR program The LIR program is a Co-Lin program


The Institute for Learning in Retirement program at Co-Lin Wesson recently held its September luncheon. The group’s guest speaker was Tristan Peavey, extension agent at MSU Extension Service.

 

Peavey, a Brookhaven native and a graduate of Brookhaven High School and Mississippi State University, spoke on agriculture and national resources. He has worked in extension for five years across Mississippi and has been the Ag and Natural Resources Extension Agent in Lincoln County for two years. He's also the son of Brookhaven's general surgeon, Dr. Michael Peavey, M.D.

 

Peavey addressed general questions about extension services such as agent roles, agriculture, local business natural resources, management, pasture and hay management, plants and home landscape, integrated pest management, pond management, local programming, farmers market, dairy day, master gardeners, private applicators training, cattlemen, and the county forestry association.
