Wesson Attendance Center held its annual Veterans Day Breakfast and Program on Friday, November 10, 2023. Guest speaker for the program was Bobby Thornton, Commander of Wesson American Legion Post 79. Thornton presented a special POW/MIA ceremony entitled "America's White Table" to the student body and guests with the assistance of students who attended Boys and Girls State. The Mighty Cobra Band played while each service of the armed forces was recognized. Students in grades 7-12 were present for the program and students in grades kindergarten-sixth constructed handmade tokens of appreciation to decorate the school halls and send home with Veterans. Attendance was great this year and we continue to want the program to reach more and more Veterans every year.
