The "Who Was...?" book series is a popular collection of illustrated biographies for young readers, but Librarian Marilyn Britt says older readers will also enjoy them.

Known for their distinctive "big-head" caricatures on the covers, the series includes titles like Who Was Albert Einstein?, Who Was Amelia Earhart? and Who Was Martin Luther King, Jr.?, making history accessible and fun.
Several “Who Was. . .?” books in the WPL collection cover Mississippi influentials. The "Who HQ" brand also includes "What Was...?", "Where Is...?", and "What Is the Story Of...?" series.
