Wesson Remains Perfect Through Four Games

The Wesson Cobras continued their undefeated start over the last two weeks, earning victories over Franklin County and Lumberton.

Wesson faced its closest test of the season on Sept. 11, holding on for a 15-14 victory over Franklin County. After comfortable wins in each of its first two games, the Cobras found a way to win a one-point game and improve to 3-0.

Wesson followed that with its second shutout of the season, defeating Lumberton 25-0 on Thursday night. The victory moved the Cobras to 4-0.

Wesson has been especially strong defensively through the first month of the season. The Cobras have recorded two shutouts and allowed only 28 total points through four games.

Wesson will return home Friday night to face Lawrence County before beginning district play against Enterprise on Oct. 2.
