Wesson Shuts Out Amite County in Defensive Battle

by Charlie Rook

Wesson Attendance Center relied on an impressive defensive performance Friday night, shutting out Amite County 9-0 to earn a hard-fought victory.

In a game where points were difficult to come by, Wesson's defense delivered when it mattered most. The Cobras held Amite County scoreless for all four quarters, allowing their offense to do just enough to secure the win.

Neither team found much success putting points on the board, making every possession important throughout the evening.

Wesson's nine points ultimately proved sufficient, as the Cobras maintained their advantage behind a strong defensive effort.

The victory gives Wesson momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season. With region games continuing, the Cobras will look to carry that defensive success into their remaining contests.
