The CCEDD, established by resolution of the Copiah County Board of Supervisors, works to promote the civic, economic and social welfare of Copiah County residents. The district’s primary focus is job creation, business recruitment and industrial expansion throughout the county.

The group meets monthly to review ongoing economic development initiatives, assess available industrial properties and coordinate with state and regional partners including the Mississippi Development Authority.

Copiah County’s industrial park at Gallman features 465 acres of prepared land with infrastructure already in place, including electricity, gas, water and sewer services, and direct access to Interstate 55 and Canadian National rail service.
