Wesson may not have struck first on Friday night, but once the Cobras found their rhythm, there was little North Pike could do to slow them down. Behind a relentless offensive attack, Wesson rolled to a 44-15 victory, steadily building their lead and shutting the door on any chance of a Jaguars comeback. By the end of the third quarter, the Cobras had stretched the margin to 37-15, effectively sealing the outcome.

The spotlight belonged to Damarion Smith, who delivered a performance that will be remembered for some time. Smith racked up 73 receiving yards and scored twice through the air, while also adding a rushing touchdown to his impressive night. His versatility proved to be a key factor in Wesson’s success, keeping the Jaguars defense off balance.

The victory keeps Wesson perfect on the season at 2-0, a start built largely on the strength of their offensive firepower. The Cobras are averaging 45 points per game, showing early signs of being one of the more dangerous units in the area. North Pike, on the other hand, dropped to 0-2, still working to find their footing as the season begins to take shape.

Both programs will return to their home fields this Friday. Wesson will take on Franklin County at 7 p.m., while North Pike hosts Terry at the same time.
