“Thank You, God, for putting periods on sentences that I wasn’t strong enough to end.” – Unknown

I’m so thankful for the sentences that God put a period at the end of when I was FAR from strong enough to put one there myself. God knows when we are not strong enough to find our way out of situations we often find ourselves in the middle of. His word tells us in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” I absolutely love the last part of this verse that says “then when I am weak, then I am strong.”

This reminds us that when we are weak, our strength that comes from God, in those moments, makes US strong! You see, in HIM does our true strength lie. On our own we are weak. He often puts a period during the times in our lives where we think we know what’s best for us (but knows it’s far from it) or in times we feel as though we are too weak to put a stop to the path we are own. Sometimes we have to continue on a path until we learn a very important life lesson and then He puts a period at the most perfect time.

We just have to have faith that God knows what He’s doing and accept the moment He puts the period instead of us putting a question mark in its place.
