“If you don’t see the greatness of God, then all things that money can buy become very exciting. If you can’t see the sun, you will be impressed with a streetlight. If you’ve never felt thunder and lightning, you’ll be impressed with fireworks. And if you turn your back on the greatness and majesty of God, you’ll fall in love with a world of shadows and short-lived pleasures.” – John Piper

Take the time to truly appreciate the greatness and majesty of God and all of the magnificent things He blesses us with each and every day. We are surrounded by so many things that we take for granted that ONLY our God can make and provide for us. Life is beautiful and God’s creation from something as big as the sun to something as tiny as an ant and all things beyond and in between should truly leave us awe struck of the wonders of God.

Take the time to notice. Be still and behold the goodness of God.

Go outside on a beautiful, clear, starry night and look up. That’s when it truly hits me on how mighty our God is and how small I am in the grand scheme of things and yet He died for a sinner like me and loves me unconditionally in spite of how incredibly flawed and imperfect I am. Try it and you’ll see what I’m talking about. It’s truly humbling to look at it from that perspective and know that the SAME God who holds the stars in place, knows you by NAME and how many hairs are on your head. You are that special to Him. Don’t ever forget that or your worth to your Heavenly Father.
